Populist Public Persona
1. President Obama plans to create community service jobs for the people via online. His plan is to help people be able to work outside of their homes at unusual hours like at night.
Question: How is this going to help our economy out, volunteers do not make anything?
2. President Obama plans to use you tube as his main source to the public, basically to relay information to them both audio and video. If Obama is using You tube as his primary source to relay information to the public, what happens to the people who do not have the internet or a computer.

2. I think it is a good idea to use YouTube as a way to get President Obama's speeches and addresses out to the public. Many Americans have computers or have access to a library or school which does. I believe that if President Obama wants to use YouTube as a way to address the people he should also continue to use old methods for those who are not able to access the internet.
ReplyDelete2. I believe that it is an extremely smart idea for Obama to present media via you tube. We are living in times, where kids log onto facebook or youtube more often than they open a book or turn on CNN. If people are going onto these online sites, there could be a link to Obama's videos and I am positive that his messages would reach many more people. The issue of those without access is basically negligible. Kid's and adult's are responsible for having internet for emailing pertaining to work or school. A very small population of the United States is without internet. I definitely believe that the internet is a good place to venture for the Obama administration.
ReplyDelete2. I think that it is a very smart move for Obama to use YouTube to get his speeches out to the general public. While not everyone has a computer or internet access, a majority do. There is also access in certain public places like the library.

It's a great idea,I use Youtube everyonce in a while as well for news and other things. But what i am talking about is the Older people and the poor people who do not have acess to the computers. This includes the homeless people as well. Maddie about the Public Library, you need a library card to acess the computers, what about the poor people and homeless who do not have the money for a library card, they won't be able to access the computers. Stephanie i agree with the second part about how he should keep the old way of giving news ouy and putting the news on youtube site as well.
